We need this information so that we can personally invite you to participate in each survey (by email). Requesting this information on the registration form means that we only have to ask you these questions once. Furthermore, we need to be able to distinguish between groups in order to meaningfully interpret the survey results. For example, different age groups, people in work and people who do not work, and people with or without children. Your data will only be used for this purpose, and your name and email address will never be linked to your answers in the surveys.
If you have registered as a panel member, you will automatically receive an email invitation to participate in a survey.
The surveys can investigate all possible issues that migrant workers in the Netherlands may have to deal with. For example, surveys about subjects like housing, working conditions and integration into Dutch society. Surveys can also be conducted on specific, current topics.
This differs per survey and depends on the subject. The completion time can vary from 5 to 15 minutes. We always try to keep the questionnaire as short as possible, and our questionnaires can generally be completed in no more than 10 minutes. We also indicate the completion time beforehand. So you can always check whether you have enough time to complete the survey. You can also exit a survey before completion and go back to where you left off later.
Everybody who registers must enter a personal email address. Only then can we be sure of inviting you to participate in surveys that are relevant to you. In addition, when analysing the results, we need to know which demographic characteristics, such as age and gender, apply to the person who completed the questionnaire. Most providers offer the option of setting up extra email addresses, or you could use a webmail service like http://www.hotmail.com.
Your answers are automatically saved after each question. If your connection fails halfway through, your answers will not be lost. If you log in again at a later time (within the active period for the survey), you can continue from where you left off.
